Characteristic

1. Matt Agent W-16 is a water-soluble matting agent suitable for all water-based leather-finishing systems.
2. In basecoats, it provides an effective matte finish and improves leveling.
3. It gives the coating film good filling and covering properties and provides good release during hot plating.
4. For a strongly matte finish, using Matt Agent W-16 in the basecoat reduces the amount of matte topcoat required and improves the surface hand.
5. Typical dosage is approximately 15–20% of the resin amount, or 6–7% of the total basecoat formulation. Do not exceed 25% of the resin amount, or 10% of the total basecoat formulation, as excessive use may reduce adhesion to the leather surface.
